There’s been a lot of interest in Reinteract. So, I decided to go ahead and spend a bit of time setting up project infrastructure.
- www.reinteract.org – a Trac installation for wiki and issue tracking.
- Reinteract Google Group – for development and other discussion
- cgit – web browsing of the git repository
- A read-only CVS mirror of the git repository for those in git-challenged environments
Everything is a bit raw and not fully configured, but should be better than having all the discussion in blog comments and my private mail. Next up on my plate is integrating the patches people have sent me.

Great work — I’m looking forward to more updates and hopefully a few ports. Keep up the good work, Owen!

Is there a chance of including something like ipython in it?
Especially the tab competition and (? and ??) are very useful.
Another useful feature might be syntax highlighting. (check out http://code.google.com/p/syntaxhighlighter/ )
Hmm I just noticed syntaxhighlighter is javascript library and is not useful here.
I relay should post until my morning coffee.
Luka: I don’t think the “command shell” features of IPython (magic functions) would be useful in the context of Reinteract, but completion and docstrings popups are definitely planned – in a style more like an IDE than like IPython. Syntax highlighting is already there.
